Mario Terenzio

Managing Director
Logmarin Advisors

Mr Mario Terenzio is a Shipping and Logistics Expert, with a 13-year seagoing experience in oceanographic, container and Ro-Ro vessels. Born in Genoa in 1958, Mr Terenzio got the Marine Master Licence in 1987 and in June 1992 joined Coeclerici Group as Coal Terminal Manager. From 1994, he was in charge of Logistics business development activities, focusing in customized floating terminals and self-unloading vessels. In 2006, Mr Terenzio founded Logmarin Advisors, a consultancy company, member of Rina group (Italian National Classification Society, IACS member). Logmarin’s aim is to provide a comprehensive and integrated advisory service for marine terminals (both shore and off-shore) and associated handling infrastructures (evaluating different water transportation systems, identifying proper loading/unloading equipment, assessing all possible bottlenecks and finally identifying cost-effective and environmental-friendly solutions). The fleet of Floating Transfer Solutions designed and commissioned by Logmarin has grown up to 22 units (of which, 20 units for coal transshipment operations, primary) which have handled over 70 million tonnes of bulk commodities during last 12 months. Furthermore, just in the past 9 years, Logmarin has developed more than 70 feasibility studies (in 22 countries) for the devising and optimization of supply chains for the import or export of dry bulk commodities (coal, grains, iron ore, wood chips, cement, etc). Focusing on Emerging Asian Coal Markets, Logmarin is currently involved in coal supply chains advice and design for new power station projects in Vietnam, Myanmar, India, and Thailand; Logmarin is also involved in the conceptual design of the largest coal floating HUB in South East Asia. Logmarin’s mission is to work closely with its clients, competing together against bottlenecks in their supply chain, rather than against its competitors. With 13 years of seagoing experience and more than 20 years spent in port facility and off-shore terminals design, as well as self-unloading vessels and floating cranes design, together with awareness of international IPP, BOO and BOOT Contracts negotiating processes, Mr Terenzio gained a wide expertise and assures a widespread competence about waterborne logistics.
