Nick Holder

British Business Group Vietnam (BBGV)

Nick joined Prudential in 2002, and over the past decade has worked for the Group in five countries: the UK, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. Since December 2009, Nick has worked as Chief Financial Officer for Prudential Vietnam (PVA), where he has been responsible for making sure that each of the company's one and a half million customers, one hundred thousand agents and two thousand staff, together with its shareholder and the Vietnamese taxman each receive their dues. For the past three years, Nick has been the Chairman of the British Business Group in Vietnam, where he has led the transformation of the Group from a social organisation to a business focused body as part of the UK Government's Overseas Business Networks Initiative. In addition, Nick is Chairman of the Supervisory Committee and Audit Committee Member for Prudential Consumer Finance Vietnam, a Member of the Audit Committee of Eastspring Investments in Vietnam and Prudential's representative, and the only non-Vietnamese speaker, on the Board of Vietnam's Policyholder Protection Fund. Nick's previous roles with Prudential included Director of Internal Audit for Prudential UK & Europe, Regional Head of Internal Audit in Asia, General Manager Shared Services, where he established a new shared services hub in Singapore, and CFO of Prudential Thailand. Prior to Prudential, Nick worked for the investment bank UBS Warburg, the London Stock Exchange and the National Audit Office, the British parliamentary watchdog. Nick has an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and an MSc in Business Systems Analysis and Design from City. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Wealth Manager being a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments. He is married with two daughters and one son, who were born in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.
