Andrew Beckham graduated from Portsmouth University with an Honours degree in Economics. After working in the UK for 10 years, he moved to Australia and worked for Allianz and Exxon Mobil.In February 2000, he moved to Indonesia and worked for BHP Billiton as a consultant in PT Arutmin Indonesia. In December 2001, he was appointed as Finance Manager for Arutmin, now owned by PT Bumi Resources Tbk. With the acquisition of PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC), he was appointed as Manager of Business Development in KPC and was involved in the issuance of the first bond from Indonesia with an Investment Grade rating after the financial crisis.In January 2005, he moved into Bumi as Vice President before he was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer in December 2006. In 2010 he was also appointed Chief Financial Officer and Director of Vallar, later known as Bumi Plc, and oversaw the LSX Premium listing, setting up all financial reporting and systems in the London Company, before stepping down in 2012 . In 2012 he became Chief Operating Officer in Bumi and oversaw a 15-20% improvement in Kaltim Prima Coal's owner operator efficiency. In April 2014 he returned to the position as Chief Financial Officer, he is currently a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has been on the Board of Herald Resources, listed on the ASX, since 2009.He is British citizen, and was born in Clacton on Sea, UK, on 29 December 1967.Related Event InsightsPerspective on Thermal Coal from 34th Coaltrans World Coal Conference
