Coaltrans Conferences, part of Euromoney Energy Events, organises large-scale international coal conferences and training courses in all major coal producing, importing and trading regions. In 2017 Coaltrans will run events in places such as Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Spain, Singapore, the UK and USA.

These world leading events are often accompanied by exhibitions, fieldtrips and top-level roundtable discussions, and the company has a reputation for employing the highest organisational standards.

Alex Tyumenin

Managing Director
Alex became Managing Director of Euromoney’s Coaltrans Conferences in July 2016. Previously Alex held the role of General Manager of Euromoney Enterprise Innovation Unit, where he was building new information products across Euromoney Specialist Events Group. He held corporate development roles at Clarion Events and IQPC where his focus was on creating high value business development opportunities within oil & gas, mining, construction and pharmaceutical industries.


Sarah Robertson

Head of Production
Sarah has been working at Coaltrans Conferences since September 2008, prior to which she worked for one year at the Russo British Chamber of Commerce in Moscow. She heads up the production team at Coaltrans Conferences. The production team is responsible for designing the conference programmes through determining topics for discussion and securing conference speakers.


Holly Watson-Steward

Head of Sponsorship
Holly joined Coaltrans in November 2015.




Matt Ackroyd

Head of Marketing
Matt is Head of Marketing for Euromoney Specialist Events. With 8 years experience, he’s a seasoned pro at filling a room full of likeminded individuals who want to do business. Matt joined Euromoney in 2010 and has a degree in History from the University of Sheffield. 



Camilla Bass

Marketing Campaign Manager
Camilla gained a BA Hons in Music at the University of Nottingham and subsequently undertook an MSc in Marketing at Queen Mary University of London, where she also worked as Marketer for the student publication. Upon completion of her MSc, Camilla joined Coaltrans Conferences in 2014.



Georgina Stroud

Sponsorship Manager
After gaining a BA in Business Management from The University of Exeter Georgina worked as an Estate Agent in Dorset. Following a move to London she has been working at Coaltrans as part of the Sponsorship and Exhibition Sales team.



Cris Picoli

Event Manager
Cris Picoli has worked at Coaltrans Conferences since September 2010. She has a degree in Translation from Universidade do Sagrado Coracao, Brazil. She is now responsible for the logistics of key Coaltrans conferences such as Coaltrans China and the World Coal Leaders Network.


Cecilia Go

Event Administrator
With a degree in communications and having worked in different European countries, Cecilia has a passion for languages and travelling. She is responsible for the administration of all Coaltrans Conferences and also manages the logistics of various events.


Samantha Persson

PA to Managing Director
Sam has worked as a PA at Coaltrans Conferences since 2008. Prior to that she worked in Vienna for a hotel chain. She has a degree in German from Aston University.



Marguerite Laferrere

Marketing Executive
With a Masters degree in Marketing from Queen Mary University of London and after undertaking several internships in different media such as TV5 Monde, Marguerite is now Marketing Executive at Coaltrans Conferences.



Isabel Merces

Head of Operations 
Isabel is originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil and moved to London in 2002. After joining Euromoney in 2007 she has worked her way up to being Head of Operations for Coaltrans. Over her seven year career, she has worked on events of varying size, location and budget and is responsible for all aspects of event operations for the business.
