On 12 January 2009 a new Indonesian mining law – Law No. 4 of 2009 – replaced the 1967 mining law, after years of discussions.

This complimentary tutorial is aimed at delegates looking to gain an in-depth understanding of the law. It will present and analyse the key features of the mining law (including its major differences with the 1967 mining law), its implications on current mining operation in Indonesia, and some other outstanding issues on the law that have yet to be resolved.
